We stayed in a two bedroom unit, 4 of us. Comfortable beds, filthy threadbare carpets, dated 80's fittings. I had to use 4 buckets of water to the get screen in the bedroom clean enough to get air through. We could hear every sound from upstairs unit which was full of noisy people, foul language, who smoked constantly and you could smell downstairs. They woke us up 4 times the first night and despite them nearly getting evicted by the manager and threatened with the police by my son we left on the 4th day (booked and paid for 5) because we were so sick of them.
Someone else parked us in on the first night and we waited nearly an hour before we could get out. Good facilities at the resort ie pool, tennis courts etc but I'd never stay there again. This was the 5th Blues festival I've been to and I've never had such bad accommodation before.
Love Byron Bay beaches and especially restaurants and cafes. Bangalow is a favourite spot. Lunch at Frescas is excellent.
