This was a truely great guesthouse with John and Sue very welcoming hosts. I had a suite, which I wasn't expecting, that was clean, comfortable and up to date and packed full of things to pass the time - TV, stereo with CDs, DVD player and books as well as magazines. I was greeted with a beer, cheese and biccies and some delicious chocolate coated Macadamia nuts from the plantation. It was raining when I was there but the pool, tennis courts and BBQ looked great.
It was a very peaceful place to relax and unwind in the hammock at the end of a day. Breakfast was traditional bacon and eggs with homemade jams and honey. Fabulous! and all for a very reasonable price. I guess the only downside I saw was that I had to drive about 10 minutes to get some dinner, but the 3 resturants in town all looked pretty good. This is probably not all that suitable for small children due to unfenced pool but for adults whether it is for business or a romantic getaway I would strongly recommend Humes Hovell.
